​Early-Bird Breakfast
For all early risers and morning people, we offer an Early-Bird breakfast in cooperation with the Böhli bakery in Gais from 6.30 to 7.45 a.m. On advance reservation, you are welcome to enjoy your breakfast at Bäckerei Böhli in Gais instead of at Hotel Bären. The breakfast includes two pastries of your choice, two portions of butter, two jams or honey, two hot drinks, and a yoghurt (a 10-minute walk away).

Half-board in cooperation with Hotel Krone
On request, enjoy half-board at CHF 45.00 per person for a 3-course menu at the traditional Hotel Krone in Gais (a 15-minute walk away).
You stay as usual at Hotel Bären and let yourself be culinarily pampered at the Krone to end your day – uncomplicated, regional, and indulgent.​​

The reservation is made through us, and payment is made directly at the Restaurant Krone (please note that the restaurant is closed on Mondays).

Bicycles
Your bicycles can be conveniently stored in the 'Chäshötte' in the garden. Your room key also opens the door to the 'Chäshötte'. E-bikes can be charged using the available power supply.

Free travel to and from Appenzell
From a stay of 3 nights, we also treat you to your round-trip journey by public transport (2nd class) within Switzerland – for an even more relaxed travel experience right from your doorstep.
